FEATURE ARTICLE

SW-A1324 THE ANONYMOUS GAME FROM HELL! By Elliot Hudes

I’ve decided to give you the story of SW-A1324 from my perspective now that Jack has finished his narrative (SEDG 71 and 72). I was Pirate 2, Jack’s prime target and the reasons will be quite clear why I did certain things when told from my perspective.

If you receive the SEDG by email you will find the feature article as an attachment. As usual my ISP, Compuserve, will separate out this text and the attachment into two separate emails. The attachment will be a file entitled SEDG73.zip. It is a winzip file that you need to

double click. The contents will be unzipped and deposited on your hard

drive. The majority of files are graphics that will be incorporated into your web browser. Double click on V73feat.htm and you should be able to view it in it’s entirety.

If you don't have winzip or you are viewing the SEDG online - click on

this URL to get to the feature article.

QUESTIONS - Can anyone answer this?

At one of your worlds there are 3 keys. One key is yours and allies already declared Loaders own the other two. There are 4 metal available. If all 3 keys are ordered to load – how much metal will each get?

FEATURE - THE SWAP CORNER

STARWEB ANALYZER V1.5 - It's on the web site and it's no longer a Beta!

Go get it! As before - registered clients of any previous V1.x version

can upgrade for free. www.flyingmoose.ca

The Starweb Analyzer V2.0 (written under the .net framework). Mike has been busy recreating the analyzer and upgrading it. It's almost ready for beta testing.

One more feature I would like to tease you with – multiple world editing of the map is now active. If you don’t like where you have placed a bunch of worlds it’s now possible to lasso them and drag the whole section to a new blank area of the map.

As soon as it progresses a little further we shall invite some of

you to beta test it.

CORRESPONDENCE

Lee writes:

>> Elliot-  Thanks for sending the text version of Fullmer's

game description.  Fascinating.  I'm learning that

being a peaceful player just doesn't pay off.

LEE <<

Editor: It sure has been my experience that Anonymous Starweb games are more vicious and war based variants than most of the others (perhaps excluding the Bitter End games).

Jack Fulmer writes:

>>This has been enjoyable for me. I seldom get a chance to interact with any other Starweb players. In particular I very rarely get to hear anything from another player in an anonymous game.

For example, I will be interested to hear how many other players the Dooleys met on turn 4. As you know I was relatively isolated. It seems to me that you were less isolated so I wonder which was more typical for this game. On the other hand, if I had not been isolated I probably would not have been allowed the time to battle with you AND score enough points to win.

   Best...   Jack<<
